In 1986, MATTEL sold 3 accessories on blisters cards.

JET SLED, MEGALASER & STILT STALKERS.

Among these 3 accessories, only the Jet Sled got a promotion, namely the famous HE-MAN & JET SLED gift set.

Its rarity is such that, for a while, rumors circulated that it was only distributed at MATTEL's headquarters in California.

We know this isn’t true thanks to press clippings we found during our recent research over the past few months.

Yes, there were HE-MAN & JET SLED gift sets for $2.99! It's totally crazy when you know the current value of this iconic toy.

So this gift set was indeed distributed in a completely standard way. However, the quantities available were probably lower than the rest of what was available in large amounts in the entry- and mid-range for other MATTEL products.
